Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in the regular meeting of the Commission on Economic Affairs of the CIS Member States, which was held on October 18 in Moscow. A number of aspects of economic cooperation within the Commonwealth were on the agenda, reports the CIS Internet portal.

Members of the Commission reviewed the draft concept of interaction in the energy sector until 2035 and the plan of priority measures for its implementation. These documents reflect the key areas of cooperation in the CIS in the field of energy and are aimed at promoting socio-economic development and strengthening the position of the CIS countries in the global energy market.
In addition, information on barriers to mutual trade and recommendations for their elimination in order to ensure the functioning of the common market were discussed. The draft Plan for the Development of International Transport Corridors of the CIS until 2030, aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of transport, was also reviewed.
