On Sunday, the second climate eco-festival under the motto “Let’s save the Earth together!” was held on the territory of the Joint Turkmen-Turkish School in Ashgabat.

The festival, organized by the diplomatic missions of Turkey and Great Britain in Turkmenistan, was aimed at attracting the attention of young people to caring for natural resources, rational use of natural resources and environmental protection.

According to the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, in specially equipped interactive areas, visitors were able to get acquainted with how renewable energy sources work.

For the young participants of the event, robot battles took place in one of the sectors of the core.

Festival participants were told about proper waste sorting. A competent sorting process increases the chance of recycling plastic, paper, glass and metals, which makes it possible to eliminate the cost of their extraction.

As part of the festival, local craftsmen and craftsmen held an exhibition-fair of souvenirs made from recycled materials. Today, reusable eco-bags (shoppers) are very popular and have become an excellent replacement for plastic bags.
