In Baku, on October 14, 2023, an official reception was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, reports the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by representatives of the state and government, employees of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of the business community and the public.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Gurbanmammet Elyasov congratulated those present on the holiday and noted that the independence of Turkmenistan is an important milestone in the history of the country. He emphasized that over the years of independence, Turkmenistan has achieved significant success in socio-economic development and strengthening of international authority.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan Sahil Babayev congratulated the Turkmen people on the holiday and expressed confidence in the further development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the Council of Elders of Azerbaijan Eldar Guliyev congratulated the Turkmen people on the holiday and wished them prosperity and well-being.

Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shahmuradov spoke about the achievements of Turkmen culture over the years of independence. He noted that Turkmen culture is an integral part of world culture and makes a significant contribution to its development.

During the reception, guests were presented with a photo exhibition dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan. A concert was also organized with the participation of artists from Turkmenistan.
