Over the 9 months of 2023, the “Turkmendenizderyayollary” Agency increased the total volume of cargo transportation by 19,9% compared to the same period last year, according to the official website of the institution.

During the designated period, the agency transported 2 287,7 million tons of cargo, fulfilling the plan by 122,3%.

Freight turnover for January-September through “Turkmendenizderyayollary” increased by 21,8% and amounted to 709,741 million ton-kilometers. Passenger turnover over 9 months increased by 6,9%, amounting to 128,200 million passenger-kilometers.

During the reporting period, Ro-Pax auto-passenger ferries transported more than 19 thousand vehicles, an increase of 27,4% compared to January-September 2022.

The growth of the indicated indicators was facilitated by the provision of benefits and preferences for sea transportation of goods through the Turkmenbashy international seaport.
