The Turkmenistan national football team played its first friendly match at the training camp in the emirates, beating Dubai United, a club of the first division of the UAE championship.
The meeting ended with a score of 3:1. Among the winners, Ruslan Mingazov, Murad Annaev and Elman Tagaev distinguished themselves.
The next opponent of Mergen Orazov’s team at the training camp in Dubai will be the current UAE champion Shabab Al-Ahli. This game is scheduled for October 15th. The training session of the Turkmenistan national team will last until October 18.
Let us remind you that the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup starts in November. The Turkmenistan team will have to meet with their opponents in Group E - the national teams of Iran, Uzbekistan and the winner of the Hong Kong/Bhutan pair. Mergen Orazov's team will play their first match at home on November 16 against Uzbekistan.
