Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed cooperation in the energy sector to German business. He made this proposal at a meeting of heads of delegations of Central Asian countries and the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany in Berlin, reports the State Information Agency TDH.

National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan is interested in the construction and modernization of power plants, the development of a network of power transmission lines and other projects in the energy sector. He also noted that the country pays great attention to the development of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind energy.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that Ashgabat pays special attention to the development of international cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy. He also expressed his readiness to cooperate with foreign companies and international structures in reducing methane emissions into the atmosphere and utilizing associated gas at hydrocarbon resource fields.

Chairman Halk Maslahaty expressed confidence that the knowledge and best practices of German companies will be in demand in Turkmenistan.
