President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that this year the volume of investments in the country will amount to 37 billion 400 million manats. These funds will be used to develop production and socio-cultural spheres, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

Speaking today at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty, the head of state noted that, through investments, new production and socio-cultural facilities will be built and modernized. In particular, large-scale construction of residential complexes in cities and villages is planned.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov also emphasized that Turkmenistan is confidently integrating into the global economic, industrial, investment, scientific, technical and technological space. This is facilitated by the growth in volumes and range of products competitive on world markets.

“We have large-scale regional and national investment programs aimed at the production of high-tech and competitive products, as well as the creation of economic and social systems of the regions”, - the head of the Turkmen state emphasized.
