Scientists have identified 27 types of love and determined which organs in the human body are responsible for them

Based on research, Finnish scientists have compiled a map showing where different types of love are felt in the human body. Aalto University staff were able to identify 27 types of this feeling. In addition to parental and romantic, this is love for oneself, for God, for one’s native country, and so on. In an online survey, experts asked hundreds of volunteers to draw pictures of where in the body they felt these feelings. This is described in the “MIR 24” TV report with reference to the tabloid The Daily Mail.

It turned out that most types of love are reflected in the brain. However, their effects vary significantly throughout the body. Thus, the love of a mother for her child is also strongly felt in the heart.

At the same time, the strongest forms of love - romantic and passionate - were felt more widely throughout the body, and love for God and wisdom was felt exclusively in the brain.

The author of the study, philosopher Pärttyli Rinne, cited by the source, believes that when moving from more strongly experienced types of love to less strong ones, sensations in the chest area become weaker. “It is likely that liking strangers or liking wisdom is related to cognitive processes, and pleasant sensations in the head area may also arise”, - the scientist notes, expressing confidence in the need for further research in this area.
