On August 18, 2023, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Batyr Rejepov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Kazakhstan Rubem Antonio Correa Barbosa in the building of the Turkmen Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Turkmen side congratulated the Ambassador of Brazil on his appointment as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Turkmenistan (with residence in Astana) and wished him success in responsible diplomatic work in building and strengthening new bridges of friendship and interaction between the two countries.

In turn, the Brazilian Ambassador to Turkmenistan thanked for the warm congratulations and expressed his readiness to actively work with the Turkmen side to further expand trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Brazil, as well as interaction within international organizations.

The Ambassador of Brazil to Turkmenistan also reminded with satisfaction and warmth his recent visit to Ashgabat and the working meetings held there with the heads of a number of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, which, in his opinion, will permit the parties to give a tangible impetus to cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.

In particular, the parties discussed the possibilities of increasing the volume of mutual trade, developing cooperation in the field of agriculture, energy, transport, tourism and culture.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further joint work on the development of Turkmen-Brazilian relations and maintain constant and close contacts through diplomatic channels.

Let us remind that on June 19, 2023, Turkmenistan accredited the new Ambassador of Brazil (with residence in Astana) Rubem Antonio Correa Barbosa.
