Today, in the city hakimlik of Arkadag, negotiations were held with the Director General of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Michael Harms, who is in Turkmenistan on a visit.
According to the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television, during the meeting, the current state of multilateral relations between the two countries and future areas of cooperation were discussed.
During the conversation, the distinguished guest was informed about the main directions and priorities of the domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, as well as about large-scale transformations in the country. At the same time, it was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to deepening trade and economic relations with Germany and expanding cooperation.
The fuel and energy complex, mechanical engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture, construction industry and a number of other industries were identified as important areas of cooperation.
It was emphasized that effective links between the healthcare system of Turkmenistan and Germany, especially in the field of production of medicines, have great prospects.
In this regard, Michael Harms said that within the framework of the second phase of the construction of the city of Arkadag, the German side had prepared proposals for the construction of modern complexes for the production of pharmaceuticals. According to him, this will pave the way for the comprehensive development of cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
During the meeting, the intention of German businessmen to strengthen their positions in the promising Turkmen market was also announced.
Upon completion of the negotiations, the Secretary General of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy got acquainted with the city of Arkadag.
