An open championship in mixed martial arts MMA, hand-to-hand and universal combat, hapkido and kabaddi was held in the multi-profile sports complex of the city of Arkadag. More than 200 fighters of different ages took part in the tournament.
The event was organized by the Federation of Martial Arts "Hanmudo" of Turkmenistan, the Main Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the city of Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag. The competition helped to find new talents who will defend the honor of the Motherland in the international arena in the future, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
In the team standings of MMA, hand-to-hand and universal combat, the first place was taken by athletes from the Mary velayat, in hapkido and kabaddi the team of the city of Ashgabat won. The winners and prize-winners in different weight categories were presented with awards and diplomas.
