A temporary exhibition dedicated to the national leather craft has opened at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
The exhibition presents leather products: national musical instruments, leather jewelry, hunting equipment, household items, clothing. Also, here you can get acquainted with the works of famous painters, made on the skin and old photographs.
Director of the State Museum Meretgeldy Charyev spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Among the guests were Bibigozel Mammedova, a librarian, a member of the Council of Elders of the city of Ashgabat, Kakamurat Karanov, a folk master tanner, Yusup Lallakov, a researcher at the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
