Footballers of the English "Manchester City" beat the Italian "Inter" in the final match of the Champions League. The meeting was held at the Olympic Stadium in Istanbul and ended with the score 1:0 in favor of the "citizens".
The only goal in the 68th minute was scored by midfielder Rodri. Manchester City won the Champions League for the first time in history. The team played in the final of the tournament for the second time, in 2021 City lost to the English Chelsea (0:1).
Italian teams this season reached the final of three European competitions and lost in each of them. Roma lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final and Fiorentina lost to West Ham in the Conference League final.
