The head of Turkmenistan wished Carl XVI Gustaf good health and happiness, and all the people of Sweden - peace, well-being and prosperity, reports today's newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

Sweden's National Day as a holiday was established by the Swedish Parliament in 1983. It was previously celebrated as Swedish Flag Day.
