In mid-July 2023, Russia plans to launch the first Russian automatic station to the moon, reports TASS with reference to information from Roscosmos.

Initially, the launch of the “Luna-2025” mission was scheduled for 2022, but was postponed due to the inconsistency of the characteristics of the Doppler velocity and range meter with the requirements of the terms of reference, Roscosmos explained.

“Luna – 2025” will be the first modern Russian spacecraft to land on the moon. His task on the surface of the Earth's satellite will be to collect information about the terrain in the region of the south pole of the moon, not far from the crater Bogsuslavsky.
