Turkmen judoka Hekim Agamammedov won the bronze medal at the European Open Championship in Sofia (Bulgaria), the official IJF website reports.
This success was achieved by the 24-year-old athlet in the weight category up to 66 kg.
In the fight for bronze, Hekim Agamammedov defeated the representative of Great Britain Charlie Young. The owner of another bronze medal become Armenian Artyom Galachyan. The winner of the tournament was Ukranian Nikita Goloborodko, who defeated Gumar Kyrgyzbayev from Kazakhstan in the final fight.
For Turkmen judokas, this medal was the only at the tournament.
In the European Open Cup in Bulgaria took part 396 judokas from 43 countries.
