President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution today, according to which the prosecutor's office of the city of Arkadag of the Ahal velayat was established within the total staffing of employees of the prosecutor's office of Turkmenistan, reports the information program “Watan” of the Turkmen television.

The decision was made “in connection with changes in the administrative-territorial division of the Ahal velayat, as well as in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of Turkmenistan “On the Prosecutor's Office of Turkmenistan”.

The document prescribes the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan to include amendments to the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2023 coming from this Resolution.

The city of Arkadag has been named the new administrative center of the Ahal velayat, in which around 70 thousand people will live. It is being built on an area of 950 hectares, 30 kilometers southwest of the Turkmen capital.

Smart residential buildings controlled via a smartphone, a square with a flagpole, buildings of the city hall and other institutions, as well as the Ruhyet Palace, the Velayat Department of Education and Culture, a drama theater, a library, an infectious diseases clinic, a museum, the Higher International School of Horse Breeding and the Scientific and Production Center of Horse Breeding and other buildings have been built here. The construction of this mega-project was started in 2019. Almost 1.5 billion US dollars have been allocated for its implementation.
