The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the “Skillful diplomat” badge. The Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan adopted the relevant Resolution, announced the “Watan” news program of the Turkmen television today.

The distinction was awarded to Serdar Berdimuhamedov for “great personal contribution to strengthening the independence and permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, the implementation of a peaceful foreign policy, the implementation of global international programs, the development of relations with foreign states and international organizations, as well as special merits in protecting the interests of our state, improving its authority, further improvement of the activities of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan and in honor of the

International Day of Neutrality”, the Resolution of the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament notes.

Today, after the enlarged meeting of the Government, Chairman of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova handed over the distinctive badge “Skillful diplomat” to the head of state in a solemn atmosphere.

Accepting this award with gratitude, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he perceives it as a high appreciation of joint cohesive activities for the benefit of the Motherland.

As the head of Turkmenistan emphasized, the work aimed at turning an independent neutral state into one of the leading countries of the world and intensifying international relations will be continued in the future.

Speaking of this, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his conviction that the great goals set would be achieved through successful work for the sake of the dynamic development of the Motherland and increasing its international prestige.

Let us remind that the insignia for employees of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan was established a year ago.

Earlier, in February of this year, the ex-President of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the badge of distinction for employees of the diplomatic service “Skillful diplomat of Turkmenistan”.
