The Qatar national football team has become the first team participating in the 2022 World Cup to lose a chance of reaching the knockout stages of the tournament.

This became known after the Netherlands team played a 1-1 draw with the team of Ecuador in the match of the second round of the 2022 World Cup group stage.

After this result, the Qatar national team lost their chances of qualifying from group “A”.
