Ahal-Teke horses are expected to be included in the UNESCO list in 2023

Turkmenistan expects that in 2023 the Ahal-Teke horses will be included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. About this reports TASS with reference to the head of the department of intangible cultural heritage of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan Gozel Magtymgulyeva.

According to her, at the moment, work is underway with the Ahal-Teke horses. “They are already known in the world, but they should become a world heritage. We have already submitted the documents to UNESCO, they are under consideration by the international executive committee. Next year, the documents should be reviewed”, the statement says.

Let us also note that Turkmenistan intends to include the art of seising (training) Ahal-Teke horses and breeding Turkmen Alabays in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
