A seminar on the topic “Strategies and initiatives in the field of international migration: best practices” was organized in Ashgabat by the Representative Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) within the framework of the Almaty process.

As reported on the website of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, the event was attended by representatives of the relevant state bodies of the country, international and national experts in this field.

The seminar discussed issues related to the possibility of coordinated implementation of advanced migration development strategies within the framework of the Almaty process. Also, within the framework of the seminar, the national migration policy was presented.
