Massive volcanic eruption in Papua New Guinea

A powerful emission of volcanic ash was registered in the northeast of Papua New Guinea. In accordance with the local geological service, the Ulawun volcano was active, which threw continuous columns of smoke and ash to a height of about 3 km.

It is noted that the emissions lasted about 15 minutes, after which the volcano subsided. As informs mir24, the emissions of the Ulawun volcano did not harm the local population, however, because of the column of smoke, the pilots of local airlines received a warning about the danger.
