It is impossible to relax in the work on the prevention of coronavirus infection, in particular, its “omicron” strain. In this regard, it is necessary to pay special attention to preventive measures, to establish the provision of vaccines and medicines.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said this at a video conference today.

The head of state emphasized, that measures to combat the pandemic should be carried out on an integrated basis, in accordance with best practices.

“In this regard, it is necessary to expand cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other relevant authoritative international structures and ensure that measures to prevent a pandemic meet the requirements of the time,” the Turkmen leader noted.

Berdimuhamedov admitted the probability of an increase in infectious activity with the onset of summer and called for the necessary preventive work to be carried out in advance, vaccination of the population, taking into account the age of people, and regularly conduct explanatory work on its meaning.

The President of Turkmenistan said, that the state would not spare any funds to replenish the reserve stock of medicines.
