The promotion of joint projects, issues of trade and economic cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level in October this year were discussed today by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of Uzbekistan arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 15th summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The leaders of the two countries also exchanged views on the international agenda and interaction within the framework of multilateral structures. The President of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the fruitful chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the ECO and wished successful holding of the Ashgabat summit.
Then a solemn meeting ceremony took place. The heads of state walked around the guard of honor.
