President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, deputy prime ministers and heads of military and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan devoted the day to active sports, visiting the Olympic town in Ashgabat today.

The news program “Vatan” of the Turkmen television showed how Berdimuhamedov performed exercises and worked out on simulators. According to the head of state, “each sports equipment is unique and significant both for hardening the body and for the physical condition of a person”.

After doing physical exercises, the President of Turkmenistan, members of the government and heads of law enforcement agencies divided into teams and competed in mini-football. The Vice-Premier for Culture and Media Myahrijemal Mammedova and Chairman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gulshat Mammedova played table tennis.

At the end of the competition, the Turkmen leader held a mini-meeting, during which he again noted the benefits of physical education and the need to attract young people to active sports.

Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and members of the government took a bike ride through the territory of the Olympic town.

In the TV news program, it is noted that physical education is a daily ritual for the President of the country, who, by his own example, demonstrates to compatriots and, first of all, young people the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

A week ago, the President of Turkmenistan and members of the Government held a mini-football match at a sports complex in the city of Turkmenbashi.
