A solemn event "School of Courage" dedicated to the exemplary life path of an honorary veteran of the Internal Affairs and the father of the President of Turkmenistan, Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, was held today in the capital's military unit No. 1001 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, the State News Agency reports.

The event was attended by law enforcement servicemen and employees, cadets of military educational institutions, veterans of internal affairs, representatives of mass media, prominent writers, as well as creative teams of specialized structures.

Attendees, in their speeches, underlined that the glorious life path of Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov is a model of selfless service to his people and native Motherland, a vivid example of patriotism, humanity, and high spirit.

Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, whose childhood fell on the harsh war years, received three special and two higher educations.

Describing his work in internal affairs, it was noted that Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov has proven to be a professional in his field, a disciplined, highly moral, demanding officer who paid special attention to the performance of official duties – the prevention and detection of crimes.

It was for his impeccable service, the successes achieved in the fight against crime, and ensuring public order that Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded certificates of honor, badges, and numerous medals several times.

Retiring in 1982 for a well-deserved rest with the rank of lieutenant colonel, for many years Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov worked as a teacher, teaching and educating young people. Speaking about this with pride, the participants emphasized that the glorious life path of the father of the President of Turkmenistan will always be a model of true patriotism and selfless service to the native people.

The participants of the celebration adopted an Appeal to the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Command-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Additionally, flower-laying ceremonies were held on the same day at the monument to Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov in military unit No. 1001, as well as at the monument to the grandfather of the head of state Berdimuhamed Annayev at secondary school No. 27 in the village of Yzgant, Gokdepe district, Akhal province.

Recall that Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, who would have turned 89 today, passed away on April 18, 2021.
