Today, in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” took plae The Dailogue of Women Leaders of Central Asian States with the participation of representatives of five countries of the region heads of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS, - reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting the role of women in strengthening interstate cooperation in Central Asia, participation in state and public affairs, assistance in transformations and the implementation of reforms, including those carried out to ensure gender equality, protection of women rights and interests were discussed.

As The Special Representative of the General Secretary for Central Asia noted, “The UN, in particular, The Center is ready to provide all – round support for further work, including expanding access to regional and global partnership and exchange of experience.”

The participants in the dialogue exchanged views on expanding relations within the framework of the dialogue. In this regard, the importance of cooperation with the UN and its specialized agencies were emphasized.

As a result of plenary session, the Declaration on the Dialogue of Women in CA countries was adopted. The chairmanship of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia in 2022 is entrusted to the Chairman of the Mejlis of Milli Genesh of Turkmenistan, Gulshat Mammewdova.
