In honor of the Day of Russia, a state reception was held at the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat on June 12, the website of the Embassy reports.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov attended the reception as a guest of honor.
According to the Embassy, Russia Day in Ashgabat was widely celebrated:
- At the Joint Russian-Turkmen School named after A.S. Pushkin, among the tenth-grade students, a “Brain Ring” tournament was held on the theme of the Day of Russia.
- A briefing was held by the Ambassador of Russia for the journalists of the Turkmen, Russian and international media.
- The Department of Education, Science and Culture of the Russian Embassy hosted a musical and poetic performance with the participation of the violin ensemble “Mukam” under the direction of People's Artist of Turkmenistan G.I.Neymark.
