The 20th International Universal Exhibition “White City – Ashgabat”, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the founding of our capital, was opened today at the Expocentre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.

At the opening ceremony, the Address of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the exhibition was read.

“We are proud of the modern achievements and splendor of our capital. One of the key areas of the urban planning program, within the framework of which grandiose activities are carried out in our beautiful capital, is the development and optimal improvement of the country's main city through the construction of residential areas with all amenities, objects for various purposes and clusters of road transport infrastructure. I am convinced that, guided by our main motto “The state is for people!”, we will be able to turn the white city of Ashgabat into a center of prosperity and progress!” – is said in the Address.

Over 70 exhibitors take part in the exhibition, including domestic state and private organizations and enterprises, as well as international companies that have been partners of Turkmenistan for many years in the construction of industrial, social, and infrastructure facilities in our capital. Among them are the Russian company “Vozrozhdenie”, the French company BOUYGUES-TURKMEN, the Turkish company “GAP Inşaat Ýatirim we Diş Tijaret A.Ş”, the Japanese corporation “Itochu”, the Turkish holding company “Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.”, Ukrainian construction association “Interbudmontaj” and others.

Among domestic state organizations, the stands of “Turkmenhowayollary”, “Turkmenawtoulaglary”, “Turkmendemiryollary”, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the State Concern “Turkmennebit”, the “Turkmen Telecom” agency and others attract attention. Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, such as ES “Muhammet Balkan”, ES “Aýdyň Gijeler”, IE “Mähirli Zenan”, IE “Röwşen”, ES “Ak Tam Gurluşyk materiallary we gurluşyk harytlary kombinaty”, ES “Türkmensenet”, new products and services.

The annual forum has been held in Ashgabat since 2013 on the City Day celebrated on May 25. This year, on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the capital, the exhibition will run for 2 days: from 24 to 25 May.

The objectives of the forum are to familiarize with the achievements and successes of various industries and structures of the national economic complex, to demonstrate the industrial, cultural and educational potential of our city, its colossal socio-economic opportunities and prospects. The forum is also aimed at identifying priority areas of cooperation in these areas.

Traditionally, the organizers of the exhibition are the hyakimlik of Ashgabat and the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
