By a joint order of the Minister of Finance and Economy and the Chairman of the Main State Service “Turkmenstandartlary” in Turkmenistan, a list of high-risk jobs (production) and categories of workers employed in high-risk production conditions, subject to compulsory state personal insurance against industrial accidents and occupational diseases, was approved.

The list contains 53 specialties in 25 areas. The list can be found on the website of the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan.

As explained on the website of the State Insurance Organization of Turkmenistan, this form of compulsory insurance is designed to ensure the protection of the employee and the payment of the insurance amount for industrial injuries sustained as a result of an accident or occupational disease or other damage caused to the employee or his production activities.

Enterprises, associations and organizations are obliged at their own expense to provide compulsory insurance for their employees, working in conditions of high risk at work.

The amount of payment is established in accordance with the “Procedure for determining the amount of the insured amount (insurance compensation) payable depending on the severity of damage associated with an insured event”, approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan dated April 8, 2019.
