President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, at a working meeting on the development of the oil and gas industry held today, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that some shortcomings were allowed in the organization of work at the enterprises of the “Turkmengas” State Concern, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

Having identified among the priority aspects the modernization of infrastructure, increasing the productivity of fields, creating all conditions for workers in the industry, the President of the country addressed the State Minister - Chairman of the “Turkmengas” State Concern Batyr Amanov with instructions for their successful implementation.

“An effective solution to the problems associated with the processing of natural gas, an increase in the volume of its foreign supplies, will strengthen the national economy and, at the same time, intensify regional cooperation.

Therefore, the work carried out in this direction should be based on modern practice, the latest achievements of science and innovative technologies”, Berdimuhamedov said, giving appropriate instructions.

The head of Turkmenistan also instructed to promptly analyze the reasons for the decline in natural gas production by foreign partners - companies operating in the country in accordance with production sharing agreements, and promptly take the necessary measures to restore stable rates of raw material production.
