Today, the XIII international online conference on digital economy and innovative technologies "Türkmentel-2020"starts working in Turkmenistan. On this occasion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants with a greeting, which, in particular, reads:

"I cordially congratulate you on the start of the XIII international online conference on digital economy and innovative technologies in Turkmenistan "Türkmentel-2020", designed to intensify the introduction of advanced technologies, innovative developments and strengthen international partnership in the field of telecommunications, as well as contribute to the further comprehensive development of the native homeland.

I wish you, the participants of the industry forum held in white marble Ashgabat in an online format, great success in finding optimal solutions to current problems of integration into the international communication system and new vectors of mutually beneficial cooperation based on friendly dialogue and business partnership.

Today, the dynamics of modernization of the national economy is determined by world achievements and innovations in the field of high technologies, so that the process of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan is marked by great success. By improving the digital technological infrastructure, material, technical and legal base of the domestic communications sector in accordance with the needs of the time, we are carrying out fundamental reforms and implementing major projects in this area.

Positive results in recent years in equipping the telecommunications sector with innovative, digital and information and communication technologies that meet international standards have made it possible to systematically improve the quality of communication services provided to the population. At the same time, we invest heavily in the creation and modernization of specialized enterprises and institutions, while simultaneously solving the tasks of training highly qualified specialists.

The XIII international online conference on digital economy and innovative technologies "Türkmentel-2020" serves as a significant platform for developing effective mechanisms for ensuring cultural and economic rapprochement of peoples, sustainable development of States, as well as modernization of the telecommunications sector – a factor of innovative progress, implementation of transnational projects and national programs.

The Turkmen state, laying the main fiber-optic communication lines of international significance, performs the function of a transport and communication hub on the great silk road. Forming a strategically important link in transit systems not only in the Central Asian region, but also along the "West–East" and "North–South" routes. These projects contribute to the economic development of neighboring countries.

I am confident that the forum will find optimal ways to solve problems related to further strengthening and deepening traditional relations based on the principles of goodwill, friendship and mutual benefit.
