The Institute of international relations of MFA of Turkmenistan held today a round with political scientists, heads and professors of specialized universities of our country, the Russian Federation and countries of Central Asia.

The event was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and was held via videoconference.

The forum participants noted the unique opportunities and positive role of Turkmenistan's neutrality in ensuring universal sustainable development.

Today, Turkmenistan's progressive peacekeeping initiatives to solve global problems, including political, economic and humanitarian ones, are particularly in demand.

Part of the reports was devoted to the development of multifaceted relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation. Speakers emphasized the high level of inter-state dialogue based on the principles of mutual respect, constructiveness and strategic partnership.

Special attention was paid to the issues of Turkmen-Russian cooperation in the field of science and education. In particular, 2 October 2017 signed an Agreement on cooperation between the

Institute of international relations of MFA of Turkmenistan and the Moscow state Institute of international relations MFA of the Russian Federation.

There were also proposals for cooperation in the field of student exchanges and professional development of teaching staff.

The parties expressed their support for continuing fruitful contacts, including in the field of teaching and publishing scientific papers and articles on topical issues of interstate relations, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
