Today, the longest container train from China has arrived in Turkmenistan for the first time in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan. This Turkmenportal announced the open joint stock company "Transport and logistics center of Turkmenistan".

Starting two weeks ago from China's Qingdao, a container train with a combined cargo consisting of 40-foot containers in the amount of 48 units, proceeded along the route Altynkol-Bolashak and arrived today at the Turkmen station Serhetyaka on the border with Kazakhstan. It will arrive at its final destination, Anev, on September 11, covering a total of 8,780 kilometers.

In carrying out this transportation, the open joint-stock company "Transport and logistics center of Turkmenistan" was assisted by its trusted partners – JSC "KTZ Express" and ES "Turkmen Ak Yol".

"This transportation is the most optimal and cost-effective: the well-coordinated work of all parties ensures the delivery of cargo to the destination in 12-15 days" according to JSC Transport and logistics center of Turkmenistan, which is the only container operator in our country that owns more than half of the fitting platforms and provides a wide range of logistics services.

It should be noted that the launch of a container line from China to the Caspian Sea was made possible thanks to the operation of the Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran railway, which is one of the branches of the North-South international transport corridor, which began operation in 2014.

Last year, the first container train to China in the amount of 45 units went from Turkmenistan through the territory of Kazakhstan with export cargo.
In the near future, it is planned to perform such cargo transportation in both directions 2 times a month.
