A booster compressor station will be launched at the Malay gas field

A powerful booster compressor station will soon be put into operation at the Malay gas field in the Lebap velayat, "Turkmenistan: The Golden age" reports.

Most of the work on its construction has already been carried out. The design capacity of the plant is 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

Since the Malay field has been in commercial development for more than 20 years, the reservoir pressure has significantly decreased as gas is extracted from the subsurface. The decision to build a modern booster compressor station at the field, designed to increase the reservoir pressure of production and pumping of fuel, was made by the state Concern "Turkmengaz" in order to stabilize the level of fuel production.

Currently, the DCS is being equipped with modern compressor units and other technological and auxiliary equipment purchased from well-known manufacturers of specialized equipment. All production processes will be managed and monitored using digital technologies.

The Malay field is located in Karakum, located 80 kilometers from the city of Turkmenabat. Over the years, the gas production complex has not only provided "blue fuel" to localities, as well as facilities for various purposes in the Eastern region of the country, but also supplied many billions of cubic meters of gas to the export pipeline.
