President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov called for attracting foreign investment in exchange for manufactured products. The head of state stated this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, addressing Deputy Prime Minister Myratgeldi Meredov, who oversees the oil and gas sector, with instructions to ensure stable operation of the industry's enterprises, effective use of their resource base and export potential, and develop international cooperation in these areas.

"We need to attract investment for the construction of new facilities and in the planned major projects, and the return of funds should be carried out with manufactured products," Berdimuhamedov said.

The head of state stressed that it is necessary to systematically increase the volume of oil and gas production and processing. In accordance with market relations, it is necessary to improve the structure and management system of the production units of the complex.

Noting that prices for oil and petroleum products have significantly decreased on international markets, the President of Turkmenistan ordered to determine a strategy for selling these products to foreign consumers, the State news Agency reports.
