Today, the XIX universal exhibition "White city of Ashgabat" opens in the Turkmen capital, designed to demonstrate the achievements and prospects for further development of the main city of the country, to determine the priorities of cooperation in various fields. On this occasion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants with a message, which, in particular, reads:

"The annual celebration of the day of the city of Ashgabat on May 25 has become one of the unforgettable and joyful events for the residents of the Turkmen capital. Traditionally, an international exhibition is held in honor of this significant date. I am sure that it will be of great importance in strengthening partnership and exchanging experience.

I am sure that the universal exhibition will allow us to present our achievements in urban development to the whole world, strengthen international cooperation to reach new high levels, comprehensively study the best practices in this area, giving a powerful impetus to the improvement of our capital, turning it into one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities on the planet.

It is symbolic that this exhibition is held in the year of the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of our country. Ashgabat is recognized in the world as a center of peacemaking, has become a political and business center of international level. The status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan has given a powerful impetus to the development of international cooperation in the region and the formation of an atmosphere of trust.

Today, Ashgabat, which has become one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is thriving. In recent years, a significant part of the projects presented at the annual international exhibition has been implemented, which increase the beauty of our capital. The borders of the main city of the country have expanded, and special importance is attached to the formation of a favorable environmental environment for the population of the capital.

Currently, a comprehensive development program is being successfully implemented in Ashgabat. New industrial, socio-cultural, scientific, educational, medical and sports facilities, high-rise residential buildings, while increasing the beauty of the white city, also play an important role in improving the living conditions of the population, expanding the range and improving the quality of social services provided.
