President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree today authorizing the state concern "Turkmengaz" to conclude a contract with the company "Turkmen Petroleum Products Trade DMCC" (United Arab Emirates) to provide services to increase natural gas production at 30 wells operated at the "Dovletabad" field.
The company "Turkmen Petroleum", registered in Dubai (UAE), is a trading structure of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR), which includes the Turkmenbashi refinery and the Seyidi refinery (Turkmenistan).
Located in the Mary velayat, the large “Dovletabad” field was discovered in 1982 with initial gas reserves of 1.3 trillion cubic meters. In the 90s of the 20th century, this field was the main source of Turkmenistan's gas exports.
