During a working meeting held by the President of Turkmenistan with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Purli Agamyradov and Minister of education Mammetmurad Geldiniyazov, the head of state pointed out the need to take preventive measures in kindergartens, secondary and higher educational institutions to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus that has engulfed the planet, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The President instructed to analyze the state of health of all groups of the country's population and, in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan, to organize preventive medical research, including additional control methods.

In this regard, special groups of medical workers will be created in etraps and cities, which will begin to carry out planned activities according to the corresponding schedule. According to the head of Turkmenistan, it should be started, first of all, in kindergartens, secondary and higher educational institutions.

In order to strengthen the principles of a healthy lifestyle in society, the President of the country ordered to involve people, especially young people, in active participation in the mass sports movement, sports activities, and hold events to promote them. This activity should be deployed in all regions, in kindergartens and educational institutions.

To date, there are no cases of COVID-19 infection in Turkmenistan. The government is taking the necessary measures to protect the country's economy from the undesirable effects caused by the coronavirus.
