President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov climbed the health Trail that runs through the picturesque Kopetdag foothills, again setting an example of adherence to the principles of a healthy lifestyle, regular physical education and sports, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

As the head of state stressed at the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of 2019, Turkmenistan has created a powerful material and technical base for sports, and declared a priority for a healthy lifestyle. It is necessary to continue developing physical education and sports, actively attracting young people, the Turkmen leader said.

The health Path laid in the foothills of Kopetdag has become a favorite place for active recreation of Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital, a focus of sports, mass and cultural events. The Grand panorama of Ashgabat that opens from the mountain slopes is impressive. The city is being updated and modernized, growing up and out, pushing its borders and replenishing with modern comfortable residential areas, administrative buildings and other structures.

Mass tree planting in all regions has also become a good tradition in Turkmenistan. Such campaigns are regularly held on the outskirts of the capital, including in the foothills, where man-made forests are already growing.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the arrangement of the surrounding area throughout the health Path, was interested in taking care of the green areas created in this corner, and the conditions for comfortable rest for residents and guests of Ashgabat.

After completing the ascent of the health Trail, the Turkmen leader left the event.
