President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov created an Interdepartmental Commission for the development of the digital economy, approved its composition and Position, signing a corresponding Resolution today, the press service of the head of state reported.
The document defines the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" ("turkmencommunication") of the Ministry of industry and communication as the authorized body for the development of the digital economy in Turkmenistan.
At the meeting of the government held today, the head of state noted that the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk" of the Ministry of industry and communication performs an important part of the work to promote digitalization and ensure the functioning of smart networks, including the elaboration of legislative support for the regulation and expansion of the national network space, the range of Internet services.
As it was emphasized, it is necessary to study and master best practices and progressive practices, focusing on the creation of its own digital model, based not only on the import of ready-made solutions, but also on its own scientific and technological potential.
