A Memorandum of cooperation and understanding between the Ministry of sport and youth policy of Turkmenistan and the Asian field hockey Federation (AHF) was signed today in the building of the chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country within the framework of the International exhibition "Education and sport in the era of power and happiness" opened in Ashgabat. The document was signed by Minister Dayanch Gulgeldiyev and Executive Director of the Asian Federation of field hockey Muhammad Ikram Tayab.

 "We intend to develop in Turkmenistan, another new one for us, an Olympic sport – said the correspondent of Turkmenportal after the signing of the Memorandum. D. Gulgeldiyev. – For this purpose, the national field hockey Federation was recently established. The document on its creation is now at the stage of registration in the Ministry of Adalat (justice). We have also opened sports schools, where children already play field hockey, with pleasure mastering a new sport for themselves. During his visit to Turkmenistan, our old friend, Mr. Muhammad Tayab Ikram from the Asian field hockey Federation will donate clubs and other necessary equipment for the development of this sport to these sports schools. All this is done in order to develop as many sports as possible in Turkmenistan, including Olympic ones.

The Asian field hockey Federation, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, brings together 30 national federations and represents the International field hockey Federation (FIH) in Asian countries.
