President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov awarded the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Colonel Police Mammethan Berdimyradovich Chakyyev, the special rank of Major General of the Police. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a corresponding Decree at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers today, the press service of the President of Turkmenistan reports.
Mammethan Chakyyev, former Deputy Prime Minister for industrial communications, was appointed to the post of Interior Minister on October 1, after the dismissal of former Minister Isgender Mulikov.
