Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Aksoltan Toreyevna Ataeva, was awarded the highest degree of distinction – the title of Hero of Turkmenistan with the award of the Altyn Ay Medal, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree at a session of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council of Turkmenistan). Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov praised her diplomatic activity, noting the merits to the Turkmenistan and people, her great personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan.
The title of Hero of Turkmenistan is awarded to citizens of Turkmenistan for particularly outstanding services to the state and society.
