On behalf of the people and the Government as well as personally, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent the cable of congratulations to Mr Gitanas Nausėda on occasion of his assumption of the post of the President of the republic of Lithuania.
Taking this good opportunity, the President of Turkmenistan wished strong health, happiness and prosperity to the President of the Republic of Lithuania as well as peace and wealth to friendly people of Lithuania, reported the press service of the Head of State.
The inauguration of the President-elect of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, took place on July 12 in Vilnius. The inauguration took place in the Sejm. Putting a hand on the country's Constitution, Nausėda swore allegiance to Lithuania and its basic law.
The 55-year-old Gitanas Nauseda received almost 66 percent of the votes in the second round of the presidential election in May, the Lithuanian Courier reported. Gitanas Nauseda replaced as President Dalia Grybauskaitė.
