In order to prepare at the proper level for the next World Ice Hockey Championship in 2020 in the III division, the Ice Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan is negotiating with the federations of this sport of Russia and Latvia to hold training camps on their ice arenas, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper report.

The Ice Hockey Federation of Turkmenistan is also interested in attracting high-class mentors from these two countries to work in Turkmenistan. All teams of rivals in the IIHF third division are trained by well-known mentors from leading hockey powers - Canada, Finland and the USA.
