On November 3, within the framework of the international forum "Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical, and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan" (CIET-2026) currently taking place in Ashgabat, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan met with the Chinese Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Xi Shumin. This was reported on the website of the CCIT.

The parties emphasized the importance of international exhibitions, conferences, and business forums for expanding economic ties between the two countries, establishing direct contacts between business communities, and implementing mutually beneficial projects.

In this regard, particular attention was paid to the significance of the Turkmen-Chinese business forum, which will take place in Shanghai on November 6–7 within the framework of the 9th China International Import Expo. It was noted that the forum will serve as an important platform for developing effective ties between the business communities of the two countries, identifying new areas for trade and economic cooperation, expanding investment opportunities, and putting forward mutually beneficial initiatives.

The meeting also addressed the development of cooperation in the construction, industrial, chemical, and energy sectors, the introduction of modern technologies into production, and the enrichment of economic ties with new substance.
