Over 155 kg of tree and shrub seeds have been collected in northern Turkmenistan

During autumn seasonal operations, specialists from the Dashoguz Velayat Forestry Department collected over 155 kg of seeds from tree and shrub species.

To date, 50 kilograms of thuja seeds, 25 kg of ash seeds, 30 kg of mulberry seeds, 5 kg of apple seeds, 45 kg of apricot seeds, and a large quantity of seeds from various other types of fruit and ornamental trees and shrubs have been collected, reports "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

This season, for the first time, seeds of the paulownia tree have been collected—a sign that the tree is gradually establishing itself in the northern region of the country.

A little later, seeds of saxaul and kandym will also be collected in the velayat.

The collected seeds will serve as reproductive material for the further cultivation of plants in the farm’s nurseries, which span a total area of tens of hectares.
