Binance has resumed withdrawals for Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, SOL, DOGE, USDT, and USDC

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance, which suspended withdrawals on October 30 following a major hack, has resumed operations for its primary assets—including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, SOL, XRP, TON, DOGE, TRX, and other coins, as well as the stablecoins USDT and USDC. Withdrawals for the remaining cryptocurrencies will be enabled in stages. By November 1, the exchange had compensated for more than 95% of the stolen assets.

As a result of the attack, the perpetrators stole approximately 6,3 billion USD. The company pledged to cover the losses using its Secure Asset Fund for Users (SAFU) and its own capital. On October 31, Binance announced that it had recovered 90% of the stolen funds, and by November 1, that figure had risen to 95%. The remaining 5% consists of less liquid cryptocurrencies, which the exchange is acquiring on the open market and through over-the-counter (OTC) transactions.

The FBI identified the hacker group TraderTraitor—which the agency says is sponsored by the North Korean government—as the entity behind the breach. According to the bureau, the perpetrators converted the stolen funds into Ether for the purpose of "further money laundering." Later, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington was not yet certain of North Korea's involvement.
