A delegation led by Batyr Volsakhatov, Chairman of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, visited Austria to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation and expanding trade ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

In Vienna, meetings were held with the president of the Vienna Agricultural Commodity Exchange, as well as with the head of the regional department—serving as director for Southeast Europe and Eastern Europe/Central Asia—at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).

During the meetings, the primary focus was on strengthening bilateral cooperation, developing exchange-based trade, expanding trade in agricultural products, and exploring new opportunities for establishing a mutually beneficial economic partnership.

The participants in the meetings identified promising areas for further institutional and commercial cooperation, which will facilitate the development of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria.
